Mise En Scene - Camera Angles.

For my cover shot. i will use a low angle, medium close up of Jordan. this is because i want jordan to seem like a big star, so if i use a low angle shot, it will show power, or being superior.

i want it to look like the above image, just the camera will be a bit closer to him

Mise En Scene - Props

For my props, i have decided to use the following.

Microphone
Mic Stand
Guitar.

I'm using these props because i want it to seem like he is singing to an audience, into the microphone. He will also have the guitar, with a strap around his shoulder to support the instrument. i want the guitar to be an acoustic guitar as most solo artists these days use an acoustic guitar.

Mise En Scene - Location

For my location, i'm going to be using the Oldershaw Academy main hall. this is because there will be plenty of props backstage that i can use and i will be editing the back ground out for my magazine as i only want Jordan on the cover.

Mise En Scene - Costume

For my Actors costume, i will be taking inspiration from Sam Smith as he is a singer who sings pop songs. he has many fans and is a global star winning four Grammys for his hit songs.

Jordan will wear this plain white t-shirt with a black frock over it. He will wear white, black and blue high tops and black skinny jeans. all this is to look trendy and have nice new clothes, which will appeal to my target audience.

Mise En Scene - Actors

As i am making a pop genre magazine that is aimed at younger audiences i want a solo artist on the front, who is young. The actor i will use Jordan, as he is young and likes pop music, therefore he has an understanding of the genre.

My Magazine

In my previous posts, i've been researching magazine types and genres and have decided to go for a pop genre magazine as my own. i want the age group to be for 14 - 17, this is because i'm going for bright, vibrant colours which may seem childlike. it will be unisex as most artists in the charts are both male and female. the genre will be pop as i feel like there is a big gap in the pop magazine genre. so i know my magazine will sell. most people listen to pop, but my magazine will be more for the middle to lower class, meaning i'm going to set my price quite low, such as £2.50. i'm also setting it this low because i know it will sell. my magazine will feature stars like Sam Smith, Adele, Justin Bieber and One Direction.

This is published by Immediate Media Company and is available every week. it is mainly aimed for girls. this could show there is a gap in the market for a boys pop magazine.

Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone magazine has been published by Wenner Media LLC. it is a biweekly magazine and is popular among most people for its up and coming stars.

i like the colours on the "Top of the pops" magazine as they are vibrant and big, which will appeal to my audience. so i will use these big vibrants colours for my own magazine

i love the rolling stone double page spread and article layout, i want to use this because i feel like the image of an actor with a brightly coloured background will look good.

I want to use the Q magazine logo, with a 3 letter word in a red square. i'm thinking about calling my magazine Bam! as it is a synonym of pop, which is the genre of my magazine.
