Evaluation
1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
For my magazine, i have followed most conventions to make it look as real and authentic as possible, but i have also disregarded some to make my magazine as original as possible.
For my magazine, i have followed most conventions to make it look as real and authentic as possible, but i have also disregarded some to make my magazine as original as possible.
Masthead - This is my magazines masthead, it is strewn across the top of my magazine like regular mastheads. the colour scheme is blue and pink. the pink is a main colour in my colour scheme but i chose blue for it to be the first thing that stands out as nothing else on the page is dark blue. this instantly draws the readers attention to the magazine cover. it says "Pop issue!" which is the name of my magazine.
Barcode and price - On my magazine i display the barcode and price. this is a real life convention used by most magazines and can be appealing as if it is cheap then they will want to buy it.
Slogan - For my magazine, i have decided to add in a slogan convention. this will make it more visually appealing as the slogan sums up my magazine in a few words.

Assessing my coursework
I feel as though my magazine cover shares similar features with this other magazine cover which is labeled at a level 2. My magazine colours match to my target audience as they are bright and vibrant, and my layout is a lot better than the other magazine. i believe personally that my magazine is a level 3 due to these reasons.
